Join us at the Lake Park Bandshell for Live at the Lake featuring the Des Plaines Community Concert Band, a cherished local tradition for over 35 years. Enjoy a varied and engaging program featuring classics, lively Sousa marches, contemporary concert band favorites, popular hits, and memorable movie scores performed by this talented community ensemble.
Enjoy family activities like Art in the Park, grab dinner from Charcoal Delights, treat yourself to dessert from My Funnel Truck, and relax by the lake for a fun summer evening of music and community.

Registration required beginning June 26th for ages 9-12
This beloved tradition includes community floats, live music and strolling entertainment. The parade is a great way to enjoy the holiday with neighbors and is fun for the whole family. We are eager to celebrate with you all!
The parade will step off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, at the intersection of Center Street and Wicke Avenue.
The parade will proceed north on Center to Prairie Ave., will head east on Prairie and then disband at Prairie and Pearson St. The announcing station and review stand are located at Algonquin and Center, and Thacker and Center, respectively.
Please note that the roads in the immediate area may be closed to accommodate parade traffic. Center St. will be closed from Wicke Ave. to Prairie Ave, and Prairie Ave. will be closed from Center St. to Pearson St. for the duration of the parade. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you there!
Parade reminders:
-Inspect all candy before your children eat it and don't eat until you get home. If any candy falls onto the street, leave it there! Do not step onto the parade route.
-The street is considered the parade route. All attendees must remain behind the curbline throughout the duration of the parade to allow event vehicles to proceed safely down the route.

The three lowest scores in each age bracket will win some great golf prizes. Join us for some golf and fun at this 18–Hole tournament! Overall winners in each age bracket will be named the Lake Park Junior Open Champion and receive a champion trophy! Tournament features closest to the pin and longest putt contests.
