CCSD62 participates in the USDA sponsored nutrition program and is committed to the overall wellbeing of children. We serve meals that are convenient, economical and healthy. Our menus are designed to provide good nutrition and variety for our students.
We are happy to announce that the district has contracted with a different food service vendor named OrganicLife which we believe will be a welcome change for our students and families.
Another change that we believe will benefit district families is the elimination of the MySchoolBucks Program. With the migration from Infinite Visions to Infinite Campus last year, it is now possible for families to pay for their student(s) meals directly on Infinite Campus.
We are in the process of transferring any remaining balance on your MySchoolBucks account to Infinite Campus. This will be available when the school year starts.
Below are instructions on how to add funds to lunch accounts, set up recurring payments and how to set up low balance notifications.

CCSD62 has partnered with Organic Life to offer nutritious, healthy food options to all students. Meals are prepared at our on-site kitchen and transported to each school daily, and served to our diverse student body.
We are OrganicLife, District 62's new partner in providing nutritious and delicious meals to the district students. As pioneers in the school foodservice industry, we infuse excellence and innovation into every one of our meals.

To that end, we:
- Work directly with our purveyors and suppliers to ensure our foods meet specific goals relating to locality, ethics, and pesticides.

Incorporate wholesome, natural ingredients, and focus on foods rich in essential vitamins and nutrients such as: fresh veggies and fruits; wholegrain breads, pastas, and cereals; low fat or non-fat dairy; and lean chicken, and beef.

Fine tune our menus to showcase healthful fan favorite meals that exceed all state and federal requirements while always listening and developing new recipes based upon student body feedback and requests.
Food at School
With the exception of some students with special needs, teachers are prohibited from using food as an incentive or reward for students at school and during school day hours.
Additionally, students are prohibited from bringing food treats to school for birthday celebrations or any other celebrations during school day hours.
In lieu of food treats, students may bring non-edible treats such as stickers, pencils, erasers, or books. If you have any questions about what non-edible treats students may bring to school, please consult with your student’s classroom teacher.
Outside Delivery of Food
Students and parents are prohibited from ordering goods or food from outside vendors to be delivered to the school during school hours.
This prohibition includes the use of delivery services such as Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, or Postmates, as well as traditional delivery services.
Additionally, this provision extends to students participating in extracurricular school activities occurring before, during, or after school hours.
Lunch Period Expectations
Eating lunch at school and utilizing the school grounds during lunch recess requires cooperation so that the lunch period is a pleasant and safe time for everyone.
There may be assigned seating during lunch period. Students are expected to stay in their seats for safety purposes.
During lunch period, students are under the supervision of lunch supervisors and expected to follow directions as given.
Misbehavior during lunch period is considered a disciplinary issue and appropriate disciplinary actions are taken. Failure to follow lunchroom guidelines can result in disciplinary action.
Lunch period recess is held outdoors whenever possible. Students should dress appropriately for weather conditions. The district adheres to the Illinois State Board of Education’s weather watch guidelines when determining whether recess should be held indoors.
