Building Houses Out of Paper

Two young girls, one wearing a white and pink patterned shirt and the other wearing a pink shirt, are enthusiastically raising their hands in a classroom setting with various educational materials and supplies visible in the background.

Students in Ms. Laura Knott's class used smaller pieces of materials to learn how large structures like houses are built.

They worked on an activity in which they designed their own structures using an unconventional building material: paper!

Students worked on building towers with only 3x5 notecards, paperclips, a ruler and a scissors.

They were tasked with figuring out three ways to make the cards standup.

They could achieve this goal by bending, folding or cutting the cards.

The students then created tall towers which were as high as their ruler.

It was a fun and unique way for the students to learn how buildings are constructed!
