Orchard Place
The choir program at Orchard Elementary School Choir is in full swing this year thanks to new Music Teacher Ms. Jessica Gibson.
All students who are interested in singing are invited to join the choir.
The students have been practicing the song "Whisper," which they will perform at a concert this fall for the entire school.
Ms. Gibson started the class by having the students do lip exercises, which warmed up their voices by relaxing their lips and helped them focus on consistent breathing.
They then listened to parts of the song, with Ms. Gibson singing a part and playing it on the piano, with the students repeating it.
The students then practiced singing the entire song all together.
The talented singers are looking forward to learning more songs for their premiere performance this fall!
