Children's Day is a day celebrated around the world in recognition of children's rights.

At Orchard Place Elementary School, students and their families celebrate this holiday each spring with carnival games, dinner and entertainment.

This year, the school offered a book fair and a multicultural fair.

Families not only attended the event, but many shared their family heritage through food, currency, music and more.

"We had a wonderful evening celebrating the important role of the children in our community and honoring one another's heritage and contributions to our community," said Principal Ms. Jennifer Bautista.

Thank you to all of the Orchard Place staff who made this event possible!

Also, a special thank you to OP's countless family volunteers, as well as student volunteers from both Algonquin Middle School and Maine West High School!
