Orchard Place
Orchard Place Elementary School is fortunate to receive Title 1 funds in order to design a literacy support program.
Principal Jennifer Bautista said there is no cost to participate in this program and students were selected based on fall benchmark assessments and classroom performance indicators.
Throughout the fall students received targeted reading instruction to develop foundational skills and grade level readiness.
Groups of students in 1st and 2nd grade, as well as those in OP's Spanish bilingual program in grades K through 2nd grade, enjoyed multiple reading and math sessions.
Starting their day or extending their afternoons in reading groups, our OP Eagles are hard at work!
