Fourth-grade students in Mr. Malone's PE class had fun working as a team and getting exercise while playing flag-belt freeze tag.

They started class with a few running warm-ups and then met Mr. Malone in the middle of the gym.

He explained the rules of flag-belt freeze tag and asked for two volunteers to demonstrate. One student put on a flag belt and started running around the gym while the other student chased her.

Once her flag was removed, she had to freeze in place. Other students wearing flags could save a frozen classmate by tagging them back in.

After the quick demonstration, the rest of the students put on their belts while three students were chosen to be "it."

The students ran around the gym, working together to avoid the taggers. Some students acted as distractions while others tagged frozen classmates to unfreeze them.

After a few rounds, Mr. Malone selected different students to be "it."

It was a great activity to promote teamwork while letting the students have fun and get exercise.
