Kindergarten and 4th Graders "Buddy Up!"

Pairing the different ages across the building gives students the opportunity to meet other students and share their uniqueness, all while strengthening the school climate.

Recently the fourth graders joined the kindergartners for a buddy celebration.

When the students entered the room the fourth graders stood by their younger buddy.

The first activity they did was color an ice cream cone together.

Then the kindergarteners then took their older buddies to their favorite classroom stations.

One group had fun playing with construction vehicles, while others went in the library area where they could sit in fun and comfortable chairs and read together.

The buddies also played with magnetic tiles, built structures with legos, dressed up in costumes and participated in a fun coloring activity using dotted markers.

One especially fun activity was building towers with wooden blocks and seeing how high they could stack them before they fell.

One kindergarten student showed his older buddy how to code in Minecraft. 

When their time together was over, the fourth graders gave their kindergarten friends stickers. 

All of the students, young and old, had a fun time socializing, playing and teaching each other something new.
