A Frog, a Spider and the "Hokey Pokey"
Kindergarten students in Mr. Ryan Spero's music class had fun learning new songs and a dance this week.
The students were welcomed into the classroom by Mr. Spero wearing a frog hat on his head and a frog puppet on his hand.
To start the class he asked the students to hop around like a frog while he sang a song about a frog.
They then met on the carpet in a circle and Mr. Spero taught them the "Hokey Pokey."
The students began by putting their right hands in and then out of the circle, followed by their other hand and then both feet.
They had fun learning the catchy melody and performing the actions along with it.
Mr. Spero finished class by reading them the story of The Itsy Bitsy Spider.
The students sang the song and made spiders with their hands.
The kindergarteners have a fun year ahead of them!
