The Letter of the Day is "M"

Orchard Place
Orchard Place Elementary School students in Ms. Howe's kindergarten class became experts in the letter "M" this week.
The students worked on sounding the letter out, identifying the letter and writing it.
The lesson started with a short, fun video about the letter "M" and at the end the students followed along with their fingers tracing a capital and lower case "M."
Ms. Howe then did an exercise in which she said three words and the students were asked to figure out which word did not go with the others and explain why.
Ms. Howe showed them how to break the letter down by using lines to make the letter.
The students spent time tracing and practicing freehand both capital and lower case versions of the letter.
The class is excited to learn more letters of the alphabet!
